Paducah Quilt Murals Inc (PQMI) proudly announces the upcoming installation of two additions to the Quilt City USA® Murals public art project: Mary’s Mural-Diamond Field, a community and friends funded tribute to the late Mary Armstrong Hammond, former executive director of the Paducah Convention & Visitors Bureau (CVB), and Nautical Stars, an America250KY commemoration mural celebrating the nation’s semiquincentennial.

Paducah Quilt Murals Inc (PQMI) is pleased to announce that Paducah arts enthusiast Mike Cappock is sponsoring the fifth mural in the Quilt City USA® Murals project featuring the art quilt “Xela Takes Keeneland” by Paducah painter/textile artist Deb Lyons.

Paducah, KY, September 28, 2023—Paducah Quilt Murals Inc (PQMI) is pleased to announce that painting will soon commence on a third mural in the Quilt City USA® Murals series. Tanya Neitzke, one of six juried local artists selected to paint photo-realistic representations of notable quilts, will recreate “The Cheyenne has Gone,” a denim on denim textile creation by British artist Ian Berry. Brothers Tom and Jim DeCillis from Paducah are the sponsors of the upcoming mural, which is anticipated to be completed and installed in Spring 2024.

The quilt “…and Our Flag was Still There!” created by Melinda Bula from El Dorado Hills, California, and painted by Stefanie Graves, Cowango Studios in Paducah, will be unveiled on Veterans Day, November 11, 2020, at 11 am at the floodwall adjacent to the Schroeder Expo Center and Carroll Convention Center at 415 Park Street.
